FIRST REVIEW ON JANUARY 8

  • First review for S6 CSE A and B batch students  are scheduled on 8 January  2014.
  • During First review each group should give a presentation about the work they done so far.
  • Every member should be ready to present any part of their project.
  • There will be both group and individual viva during the review session.
  • Each group should have a presentation time of 15 minutes and viva session for another 15 minutes. (30 minutes in total)
  • Each group should submit their previous 2 reports( abstract report + zeroth review report)  along with a design report.
  • Each group should submit their design report to your project guide at-least 3 days before presentation. The design report should be certified by your project guide.
  • Each group should submit their  project diary,  certified by the guide.
  • The design report should contain decomposed DFDs  and Use case  - diagrams and any two(minimum)  UML diagrams like Class diagrams, Activity diagrams, Sequence diagrams, Component diagrams, Statechart diagram, Collaboration diagram, Deployment diagram etc.
  • E-R diagram  and Normalized tables is must for all DBMS related projects.

The guidelines prescribed in this file are intended to be followed by B.Tech.
(CSE) students for preparing their report. A project report should contain the following items in the sequence as prescribed:

PROJECT DIARY GUIDELINES


  • Each team member should maintain a hand written diary:
    • A plain note book with a minimum of 140 pages. Pages are fixed and numbered, may not be torn out! 
    • Each new entry is properly dated
    • The diary is brought along to each laboratory  meeting for presentation to the teaching staff. 
  • The project diary should be used to record the work, designs, analysis and other various project activities. Every project activities should be properly recorded with date. 
  • You can  note the various concepts you learned while developing your project. 
  • It should be submitted to the project guide once in a week and get it certified in each week.
  • It should be submitted to the project coordinator in every mini project lab.(once in a week)
  • The goal is to become used to working in an engineering team where it is essential to maintain: 
    • A record of inventions should priority issues arise. 
    • The chronology and basis of design decisions. 
    • A record of contributions to a project

SRS SUBMISSION ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 30



All groups should submit the Software Requirement Specification (SRS) document of their project in the prescribed format on or before 30th December 2014. The SRS report should be certified by the respective guide of the group. The SRS document should follow the standard IEEE format and should be unambiguous.

ZEROTH REVIEW REPORT FORMAT.

Every project group should submit a review report during the zeroth review presentation.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR ZEROTH REVIEW

1. Each group should have a presentation session of 15 minutes, while they have to explain their project and its relevance and applications.

2. All group members should be present for the review; else the absentee will loss his/her credits for zeroth review.

3. It is mandatory to wear proper uniform during review sessions.
4. The presentation medium should be English.
5. Every group should submit their signed / approved abstract report  along with their zeroth review report.
6. All members in  the group should take part in the presentation.
7. Each members in a group should have thorough knowledge about their project idea.
8. The review panel has the right to reject the project topic if your presentation is not up to the mark.
9. Students are not allowed to bunk the classes for various project activities.All project activities should be done during project lab hours or during holidays or break sessions.
10. The project report should be in a prescribed format as mentioned in the sample review report attached above.

ZEROTH REVIEW IS SCHEDULED FROM 08th OF DECEMBER 2014

The Zeroth Review for S6 CS A and B batch students is scheduled from 08th of December 2014.
Each group should have a presentation session of 15 minutes  to present their project to the project panel. Presentation should be done with the aid of PPT presentations and a hard copy format of their Project report

PPTs should have 10 -15 slides. The contents/ slide titles  that must be necessary included are

1. Project title with group members name and Batch number
2. Contents/ Table of contents
3. Introduction
4. Existing system
5. Disadvantages of existing system.
6. Proposed system
7. Features of Proposed system
8. Advantages of Proposed system
9. Application areas of proposed system.
10. Hardware and Software requirements.
11. Conclusion
12. References


The project report should contain the detailed version of the above said titles used in presentation.
